Good Faith Estimate

The No Surprises Act is a U.S. federal law that aims to protect consumers from unexpected and potentially high medical bills, including those related to mental health services. One of the key provisions of the No Surprises Act is the requirement for healthcare providers to provide a Good Faith Estimate to patients.

In the context of mental health services, including therapy, the No Surprises Act ensures that individuals receive clear and transparent information about the expected costs of their treatment. Here's how it works:

  1. Good Faith Estimate (GFE): Before starting mental health services, providers are required to provide patients with a Good Faith Estimate. This estimate includes the expected costs of the services, including co-pays, deductibles, and any other out-of-pocket expenses.

  2. Transparency: The GFE is designed to promote transparency in healthcare billing. It allows patients to understand the financial aspects of their treatment, enabling them to make informed decisions about their care.

  3. Protection from Surprise Bills: The No Surprises Act protects individuals from surprise bills by ensuring that they are aware of the anticipated costs before receiving services. This helps prevent unexpected financial burdens associated with mental health treatment.

For Calvary De'Rosa Counseling and Consulting, adhering to the No Surprises Act means providing a clear and comprehensive Good Faith Estimate to clients. This commitment to transparency aligns with the goal of making mental health support accessible and understandable, fostering an environment of trust and informed decision-making for those seeking therapy services.

We are dedicated to providing a supportive and seamless experience as you take this important step toward personal growth and mental health. For any financial inquiries, reach out to our office.
